Welcome!

Hello! We’re FOLGA—a friendly group of parents, carers, friends, and family members of children at Latton Green Primary Academy. Together with the school, we organise fun events to raise money for things that make our children’s school life even better—like playground equipment, books, learning tools, reading prizes, and more. Thanks to everyone’s support, we’re now a registered charity, which means even more exciting fundraising opportunities ahead!

What We Do

We’ve had a blast running all sorts of activities, and we can’t wait for what’s next. We meet regularly (usually once a month, or more if a big event is coming up) to plan, organise, and make sure everything runs smoothly. From buying supplies and refreshments to setting up games and volunteering at events, there’s always something to do - and always room for more helping hands!

Our Current Goals

Right now, we’re raising funds for extra OPAL learning equipment, new library books, and some fantastic events for 2026. We love hearing ideas from children and parents—whether written, drawn, or emailed to folga.lattongreenpa@gmail.com.

Plus, we run stalls at Sports Day, Christmas and Summer shows, sell preloved logo uniform, and outside of school we even host the car park at Harlow College on some Saturdays! We have a charity donations scheme on easyfundraising, a parent’s lottery and much more!

How You Can Get Involved

We’re always looking for new members—whether you want to help regularly, volunteer at events, or support us behind the scenes. Every bit of help makes a difference! Here are some ways you can join in:

  • Attend meetings to share ideas and help plan events
  • Join our WhatsApp group (leave your name and number at the office)
  • Like and follow our Facebook/Instagram pages to stay updated and share events
  • Volunteer at discos, fairs, and other events
  • Design posters or create invites
  • Help source raffle prizes
  • Use your contacts to help us out
  • Buy toys, refreshments, games, or prizes
  • Help create and run our newsletter (coming soon!)
  • Assist with grant applications

And if you can’t help with the above, just coming along to our events is a huge support—the more families who join in, the more we can achieve together!
